Author Quickie with...Debbie De Louise

NOTE:

These are the most random Qs I could find and come up with, but it is to show readers how authors are just like them or maybe so different that they are their own species. I have several awesome authors already lined up, but don't let it scare you to take part though. I'll be sharing with you all; the answers to the set questions and introduce you to some awesome people, and later, all of this will be used in a statistical type blog. Hopefully, we can keep this going for as long as possible and gain as many author's inputs to make this thing grow.

Morning person or night owl?

Morning person. I get up at 5 am. to write, edit, check email, FB, twitter, etc. before my daughter gets up to get ready for school and I have to go to work. I find I can get more things done when I rise early. Even on weekends, I am up before 8. Reversely, it’s difficult for me to stay up late which can be a negative thing because a lot of events are held at night both in person and online.

Coffee, tea or neither?

Both actually. I always have a cup of coffee in the morning and sometimes a cup of tea on my morning break. I don’t react well to caffeine, so I can’t have too much coffee, and I usually drink herbal tea when I drink tea. I like trying different varieties.

EBooks or printed books?

Both also, although I read more printed books. I have a Kindle Fire, but I don’t use it that often, although I have a lot of books on it. Both my print and eBook TBR’s are huge.

Bookmark or dog-ear pages?

Bookmark. I am a librarian after all – lol.

Extrovert or Introvert?

Introvert, but I’ve become more extroverted as I’ve had to learn how to promote my book and myself. I’m still trying, though.

Secret talents? If so, what are they?

Not an easy question. Would you consider always being on time for things a talent? I would also say I have a talent for organizing, but I’m constantly trying to find things, so maybe not. I guess my biggest secret talent would be handling cats. I’ve had them since I was young, and I think I have developed a special way with them.

If you had a superpower, what would it be?

Persistence. I never give up which is usually a good thing but not always.

What is your biggest fear?

Having a panic or asthma attack (I’ve had both and currently have them under control, but they are very scary).

You have three wishes, what are they? (not in this particular order)

1. To get down to my goal weight and stay there. (have lost 60 pounds so far and need to lose about 20 more).

2. For myself and my family to stay healthy and live long lives.

3. To become a best-selling author.

If you could forever break one habit, what would it be?

I’ve developed a gum chewing habit recently. I don’t think I need to stop, but I think I need to control it because I’m going through more than a pack a day.
